Bàffij Se

Bàffij Se (/bəf/ /fiʤ/ [south] [aroused (sexually)]) is a temperate Village located in the Kshizbāj̼ Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Bàffij Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Bàffij Se was founded by Gwyneth Gadsë Gadsmë Cadwaladr, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Bàffij Se has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Bàffij Se receives an average of 128 cm/y (50 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Bàffij Se covers an area of nearly 2 km² (0 mi²), and an average elevation of 4094 m (13431 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Bàffij Se was founded durring the early 12th century in summer of the year 1146, by Gwyneth Gadsë Gadsmë Cadwaladr. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Bàffij Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bàffij Se is no diffrent. The village's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Bàffij Se is was constructed arround several broad cobblestone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The village lacks any defencive features, though certainly constructing even a simple fence or digging a ditch is at the forefront of the 's mind. At least, one would hope so.

A look around Bàffij Se gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Bàffij Se brings to mind.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Bàffij Se, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Bàffij Se's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.
